Band Face Pull

Muscles worked: Rear delts (assisted by traps).

How to do it

  1. Anchor a band at about eye height and step back for tension.
  2. Take an end in each hand with your arms extended and thumbs up.
  3. Pull the band toward your temples, splitting your hands apart.
  4. Finish with your knuckles facing back and the elbows high.
  5. Return under control without letting the shoulders shrug up.

Coaching cues

The two cues IronPack shows on this exercise's card mid-workout:

Logging it

IronPack suggests working in the 15 to 25 rep range, progressing in 1 kg jumps when you own the top of the range. Records are tracked automatically at every rep count from 1 to 12. Check your estimated 1RM from any hard set.
