Front Lever
Muscles worked: Back, Abs.
How to do it
- Hang from a bar with an overhand grip, arms straight.
- Pull the bar toward your hips to engage the lats without bending the elbows.
- Bring your body up and back until it is horizontal and facing the ceiling.
- Hold a straight line from shoulders to toes, like a plank in the air.
- Count the seconds. Tuck the knees to regress it while you build strength.
Coaching cues
The two cues IronPack shows on this exercise's card mid-workout:
- Push the bar toward your hips
- Body straight as a plank - count the seconds
Logging it
Logged as seconds held, with a built-in timer. Longer honest holds beat sloppy long ones.
