Muscles worked: Back (assisted by biceps, traps).

How to do it

  1. Take a barbell with a supinated, shoulder-width grip.
  2. Hinge forward, staying slightly more upright than an overhand row.
  3. Keep your back flat and the bar hanging at arms length.
  4. Pull to your belt line with the elbows tight to your sides.
  5. Lower under control to a full stretch.

Coaching cues

The two cues IronPack shows on this exercise's card mid-workout:

Logging it

IronPack suggests working in the 6 to 10 rep range, progressing in 2.5 kg jumps when you own the top of the range. Records are tracked automatically at every rep count from 1 to 12. Loading the bar? Use the plate calculator, and check your estimated 1RM from any hard set.
